Dr. Elizabeth Mackey


Originally from Walterboro, SC, Dr. Mackey graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1986 and taught biology and physical sciences. She became actively involved in wildlife rehabilitation, and ultimately became a full-time rehabilitator until moving to GA in 1999. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 2006, and completed a one year internship at UGA in Exotic, Wildlife and Zoological Medicine. Dr. Mackey resides with her husband, Kelly, at their farm in Watkinsville, which is home to their numerous pets: horses, goats, dogs, cats, parrots, reptiles…let’s just say she doesn’t have a cow!










Dr. Heather Fields


Dr. Fields is also from South Carolina, growing up in Spartanburg. She earned a BS in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 1992. She pursued her dream of being a veterinarian by graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Dr. Fields’ children, Daniel and Rachel, are her pride and joy. She also enjoys her cats, Oscar and Sam. Dr. Fields became certified in acupuncture through the  International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2011.












Kristen Bratton

Kristen Bratton is a native of South Carolina and a recent graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. She is currently residing in Athens, Georgia, and, while enjoying the Georgia sunshine, is also enjoying her introduction into the world of exotic animal care. She is  pursuing admission to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and a career as a Veterinarian. She spends her leisure time hiking, cooking, and caring for her two active golden retrievers, Allie and Lexi.
